Hidden trees still count towards the limit and still take up resources, because they are still there even if you can't see them. As the title states, I can place a building/tree see it from a zoomed out distance, but as soon as i zoom in for a closer look it disappears. Not sure what the issue is. They don't get removed normally, just hidden. Since the mod lets you place props and trees on top of things, that effect applies to all props and trees.
